SPORTS FACILITIES FOR COIMBATORE

Coimbatore sits in the west of Tamil Nadu, close to the Western Ghats, and is one of the state's largest cities — known for its textile mills, engineering and pump industries and a dense network of schools and engineering colleges. Many of these institutions want sports facilities that can take heavy daily use from students.

Alongside them, newer residential layouts and IT parks on the edges of the city are adding turfs and courts as amenities. Our engineers travel from Chennai for the survey and site work at no extra charge, so a Coimbatore project is planned and built by the same team as one in our home city.

BUILT FOR COIMBATORE'S WIND AND RAIN

Coimbatore's climate is milder than much of Tamil Nadu, helped by its elevation of around 400 metres and the winds that funnel through the Palakkad Gap. It gets rain from both monsoons — lighter showers during the southwest monsoon and heavier spells from October to December.

Wind-Rated Nets & Poles

The Palakkad Gap winds can be strong in the monsoon months. Tall cricket and turf netting acts like a sail, so we size posts, footings and floodlight poles for wind load, not just weight.

Rain Across More of the Year

With showers from both monsoons, surfaces get wet more often here than in the drier south. We plan for quick run-off and choose infill and court coatings that recover fast after rain.

Know the Ground

Soils vary across the Coimbatore area, and clay-rich ground can swell when wet and shrink when dry. Our survey checks what's under the site so the sub-base is designed for it rather than assumed.

FAQ

QUESTIONS FROM COIMBATORE

Do you charge extra to come to Coimbatore?

No. The site survey and consultation are free anywhere in Tamil Nadu, and our engineers travel from Chennai at no extra charge.

Can you build facilities for a school or college campus in Coimbatore?

Yes. Schools and colleges are a large part of the demand here. We can plan a single court or a combination — for example a turf, cricket nets and a track — around the space you have and how many students will use it.

Will strong winds affect cricket netting or floodlights?

They're a design factor, not a problem. Netting height, post spacing, footing depth and pole specification are chosen with wind load in mind, which matters around Coimbatore in the windy months.
